Specifications
- Rated vessel length
- Up to 39.4 ft (12 m)
This Attwood light is an articulating, anti-glare pole built for boats up to 39.4 ft (12 m). It uses a 9-watt wedge-base lamp. The articulating head simplifies installation, and the 2-pin locking-collar pole is said to fit 95% of existing bases, Attwood and competitors alike.
Our take
The anti-glare lens is focused at the horizon and above, not into the helmsman's eyes, which is the point of this design. The articulating head and locking-collar pole are meant to fit 95% of existing bases.
From our buying guide
The lights a boat must show depend on its length and how it's being driven. A sailboat under power is a power-driven vessel and shows power-driven lights.
Check before you buy:
- The label gives its visibility in nautical miles, and that range meets the minimum for your boat's length.
- The maker rates it for boats of your length.
- A replacement LED is certified with the fixture it's going into, since the Coast Guard warns that replacement lighting may not meet the rules.
