Our take
The 2 mile, 360 degree rating for boats up to 39.4 ft is the figure to check against your own boat before fitting this light. Its fold-down design is an all-round type, and the anti-glare design is there to preserve night vision.
From our buying guide
The lights a boat must show depend on its length and how it's being driven. A sailboat under power is a power-driven vessel and shows power-driven lights.
Check before you buy:
- The label gives its visibility in nautical miles, and that range meets the minimum for your boat's length.
- The maker rates it for boats of your length.
- A replacement LED is certified with the fixture it's going into, since the Coast Guard warns that replacement lighting may not meet the rules.
