Specifications
- Waterproof
- IPX8
The Uniden UMRMIC is a remote second station microphone for the UM725 series fixed mount VHF radios. It is a direct connection to that series, so it is made for a radio in that range. The microphone is black, with an orange display and keypad. The extension cable is 23 feet long, which gives you room to place the microphone away from the radio. The waterproof rating is IPX8.
Our take
This suits a boat that already has a Uniden UM725 series fixed mount VHF and needs a second station to work the radio from. Skip it if your radio is a different model, because it is built as a direct connection to the UM725 series. Its main limit is compatibility: it is made for that one radio range.
