- Brand:

Sea-Dog's 12 V single mini compact horn with a stainless cover, which Sea-Dog says gives 108 dB at 440 ± 20 Hz and meets COLREGS and ABYC A-23 for vessels under 12 m (39 ft); it gives no measuring distance for the 108 dB. You supply a 5 A horn button and a 5 A fuse.
Our take
A fair pick if you want a compact 12 V electric horn to replace a worn OEM unit on a boat under 39 ft. The maker rates it at 108 dB and 3 A, claims COLREGS and ABYC A-23 compliance, and says the bolt holes match many OEM horns. Stainless cover and diaphragm help in salt air. Mount it pointing slightly downward so water drains.
