Buy this if you run a fast offshore powerboat and want a 4 in flush-mount compass with built-in compensators, green night lighting and a 5-year warranty. The maker says it was developed on offshore race boats. Skip it if you are outside Zone 1 unless you order the right zone, since it cannot be re-zoned in the field. Check your hole first: an old SS-1000 or a 6 in cutout needs an adapter ring. Independent reviews are thin.
