The Icom M330G in black is a fixed-mount marine VHF radio with a GPS receiver built in. It puts out 25 watts, carries an IPX7 waterproof rating, and has the AquaQuake water draining function. Class D DSC with a dedicated CH70 receiver is built in, and the GPS feeds position to those calls through an external puck antenna. It also offers dual and tri-watch, priority scan, and a weather channel with alert.
Our take
The M330G takes its DSC position from an external GPS puck antenna, so the puck has to be mounted and wired in before the Class D DSC gets accurate location. Plan the cable run for it when you pick the spot for this compact radio.
