Fujinon Mariner 7x50 WPC-XL Binoculars with Compass
- Brand:
- Fujinon
Fujifilm's Mariner 7x50 with a compass (WPC-XL), which Fujifilm rates at ±0.5° maximum error, usable in both hemispheres and internally lit, with 2 x LR43 batteries included. It is nitrogen-filled, individually focused and 910 g without battery, with a 7.1 mm exit pupil, and water resistant to 1 m for 5 minutes, which Fujifilm says does not mean it can be used in water. A flotation neck strap is included.
Our take
Choose this if you scan the horizon for long stretches or wear glasses: the 18 mm eye relief keeps the full view with specs on, and at 910 g it is light for a 7x50. A reviewer found it good value, but struggled slightly in low light and found the body slippery when wet. The 1 m water rating is not for use in water, so keep it dry and strapped on.
